ECAT-1000

The ECAT-1000 EtherCAT Gateway connects RS-485 network devices to an EtherCAT network with minimal configuration requirements. The ECAT-1000 provides two IEEE 802.3 100BaseT Ethernet ports and an RS-485 port (4-wire terminal block style). Multiple RS-485 protocols are included free of charge.

The ECAT-1000 can be installed in a simple, low cost line structure, tree structure, daisy chain, or drop line network. Configuration is performed using the ICC Configuration Studio software via a USB connection. PLC-style logical, arithmetic and filtering data manipulation operations, called Database Logic, allow the construction of complex autonomous data conditioning and control functions.

The ECAT-1000 is a member of the ICC Millennium Gateway Series product family. Members of this family are designed to provide a uniform interface, configuration and application experience. This commonality reduces the user's learning curve, reducing commissioning time while simplifying support.
